Happy Birthday

Afternoon... sorry I am a little later today.  Life is a little crazy at the moment and I have not had chance to type up any posts the last couple of days!

I think I have become a little obsessed with Distress Oxide inks and this one is another using a stamp block squishing technique and some splattering....

Supplies:
Inks: Distress Oxides: Picked Raspberry, Peeled Paint, Mermaid Lagoon
Stamps: CBS Scrumptious Script
Card: Neenah Solar White, Stampin Up Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist
Other: Nuovo Drops Crystal

I have spent the last couple of days preparing the Order of Service for my Grandmas funeral next week.... Only 50 made with embossed flowers although I still need to colour them in.  It seemed like a great idea at the time, but my Grandma loved my handmade cards so I just had to do it!

Hope you have a great Wednesday

Happy Christmouse

Morning, Today's card is inspiration for the LOTV August Facebook challenge which is Christmas. You can find it HERE and you have until the 16th to enter for a chance to win some LOTV gift vouchers.

Keeping to my usual style I have simply stamped the image on the card and coloured with copics, added some glitter and a simple sentiment.
Sometimes I feel like my LOTV cards are boring but I really do like to make the image the main focus of the card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Christmouse from LOTV, Tiny Type from CBS
Card: Neenah Solar White, Real Red from SU

Hope you all have a fabulous Saturday!

Sending You Smiles

Morning, I ordered a couple of new Penny Black sets (I looovvveee them) so decided to make a mega quick card last night using the CAS(e) this Sketch again!  This time I flipped it!

The back ground is done using distress oxides on a block spritzed with water.. I really love the effect and made a few back grounds whilst practising! The fussy cut image is coloured with copics and placed over the top.

This is the sketch for this week... CTS #232

I'll be back later in the week... Have a great Tuesday!

Welcome Baby!

Morning... I absolutely love this little Rocker Bunny Digi stamp from LOTV.  This card I made for a ex work colleague who had a beautiful baby girl a few weeks ago preemie and I finally went got to meet her last week!

It's coloured in with copics and then simply stitched around the edge with a simple sentiment (think its SU).

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday.... My weekend in London went so fast I could do with an extra day to recover!

The Piggy Believed She Could

Morning.... I'm off to London this morning but I thought I would share a quick card with you first.  I absolutely love these little piggy stamps from Stampin Up (This Little Piggy) if you love them and don't have a Stampin Up demo then contact Rebecca from MellyMoo she has a great offer on this set and some papers to make up a set of cards!

I coloured in this cutie with copics and added some glitter to the wings and edge of the panel!

I'll be back next week, but I am finally enjoying crafting again so you should see more of me... at least until the work travels begin again in the Autumn.

Have a great Saturday!

Just A Note...

Morning.. It's been a while since I entered a challenge but I saw this weeks CAS(e) This Sketch and had an idea to use a part of a panel I had coloured a few months ago and had no idea what to do with.

This uses one of the LOTV stamp sets Little Critters - Little Fishes and I stamped the fishes multiple times over an A6 piece of card.  The back ground is done using copics and I was practising from when I did my copic 1 & 2 classes back in March.

I marked off an area and then cut the straight lines avoiding the fish which were then fussy cut!

This is the sketch for this week... CTS #232

I'm off to London this weekend but I will hopefully be back next week.. Have a great Friday!

Dogs Have Owners, Cats Have Staff

Happy Wednesday peeps.. half way through the week and I'm back again.  I think I made about 10 cards on Sunday afternoon...

I picked up this cute Stamping Bella stamp from Tracey at Dies to Dies for back in April at Leigh but had not manged to ink it up.  How could I not get this, it's pretty much how it works in my house with Jack and Levi.

Coloured in with Copics as I try to practice what Faye taught me back in March... I def need to get back into the habit of it all!!

Hope you all have a great Wednesday

Merry Christmouse... Another LOTV Sneak Peek

Morning... yes I'm back two days in a row!  I have another LOTV share for you today from the Christmas release out tomorrow!!

This is Christmouse Pudding... I absolutely adore this stamp

The little guys are coloured in with copics and then I have run the piece through the linen texture plate from papertrey ink and finished the edge off with a die.

After spending nearly all of yesterday tiding up the craft studio and organising things, relabelling my distress inks I think its now much more user friendly.  I think the label machine may hate me after I labelled over 300 LOTV stamps and put two per pouch to save some space!

I have some more bits to do yet but once done there will be more goodies to add to my craft stash sale page on facebook next weekend when I get chance to photograph it all. You can find the page on the link below in the meantime

I'm off to the gym, then back to the studio to finish off my organising and maybe actually do some crafting!

Have a fabulous Sunday!

Christmas In July.. New Lili of The Valley Sneak Peek

Morning Strangers, yes I know its been a while since I posted on here.  Life got in the way but I've not actually been crafting at all. A little work travel, a vacation and then being mojo less have all contributed to the lack of posts.

I am back today with a fabulous image from the new LOTV Christmas Release which is out on Monday 24th July.. You are going to love these stamps!

This is Ho Ho Ho and I love him!!

The back ground is done using Distress Oxides and a splatter of copic white.

I'm hopefully going to manage some more crafting this weekend, I have decided to just make anything to try and get the mojo rolling!

Also my Pre-Loved Stash for sale is now on a group in Facebook.  This makes it easier for everyone to see what has been asked for.  You can find it below:

I'll be back tomorrow with another one to share with you.. Hope you have a fabulous Saturday!

Strength

Morning LIMettes another crazy week and no view of it stopping so still no crafting (luckily I was a few weeks ahead on DT cards)
It's one layer week at Less Is More and the theme is curves ... I went for a curve of flowers and curved edge of the card for a subtle approach

Hope you like it

The stamps are from altenew (cannot link as I am still using phone for posts) and I stamped them using the Misti in pale ink first, added distress oxide inks over the approx areas using a dauber then put it back in the Misti and re stamped with onyx versa fine over the top ... really love the effect and the distress oxide inks are amazing on the coloured card base

I've got a 3 day work week this week so hopefully Easter weekend will mean I can get back into the studio and have some R&R

Have a great Saturday xx

Happy Easter

Morning LIMettes

It's the first week of the month at Less Is More and we have a new sponsor with Lili Of The Valley and a colour challenge to use 3 pastels

I just had to use this mega seeet image how can you not love it!

I've not set foot in my craft room for pretty much 3 weeks now ... work has over taken my life due to some stuff that has happened which has meant long days and weekend working (I pretty have a policy I don't work weekend so that's how bad it actually is)
I'm hoping that this will ease off but for the next month it will be as bad !

Have a great Saturday ... hopefully I'll get some time to visit you this week

Washi With Thanks

Morning LIMettes .... blogger is really not playing nice for me this week, I have had numerous issues logging into my account again so having to type this on my phone is not ideal

We have a new challenge at Less Is More this week and it's to use Washi tape on your card. If you are anything like me you have about 100 rolls just there to look pretty and never really be used!
I decided to try something a little different this week ... here is my card

I used four different washi tapes (3 from SU) and ripped tiny pieces and layered them straight into my card base. It's finished off with a sentiment from MFT cut out of teal card stock to match one of the washi tapes.

Unfortunately I'm having to work through this weekend .. acrelly busy time at work means there are not enough hours in the week

Hope you all have a fabulous Saturday

Just James

Morning, I have one of my all time favourite LOTV characters for you today.. James. He is available over at Lily Of The Valley in digi format again.

This months Facebook challenge for is Flowers and to enter click HERE you still have a couple of days left!

Supplies:

I went on Faye Wynn-Jones Copic class a couple of weeks ago and it gave me the confidence I was lacking with my copics... I was still using them the same way you do Promarkers even though they are a different type of pen, so I thought I would give James some fur and a cloudy back ground.

Hope you have a great Monday

Here is my card...

Birthday Wishes In Teal

Morning LIMettes, Hope you all had a great week.. Firstly, apologies as I did not get to visit many of you last week due to work commitments but hopefully this week will be a lot less manic.

It's a new month which means a new colour challenge at Less Is More and this week it's Mainly Teal. I went for an inky background and some emboss resist.. I seem to be a little obsessed with it at the moment!

Here is my card, I love the back ground adding more colour into the centre of the circles for a great effect.

Supplies:

Hope you have a great Saturday! I'm hoping to spend a serious amount of time in the craft room this weekend!

Alpha

Morning LIMettes, It's time for a new challenge over at Less Is More and I went for something a little different on this weeks Alphabet theme challenge.

Sometimes I feel like all my cards just look the same so I am venturing out of my comfort zone and trying new things.  Here I got a little inky for this chalk board look with a fab back ground stamp and made it feminine with the felt flowers.

Supplies

The flower die is a really old one from MFT and the leaf die is purple and I have had it for about 5 years and cannot for the life of me remember the name of it

Hope you have a great Saturday!
